11. Flea market, Gradisca d’Isonzo (ITALY),18.1.2015 (Boljši sejem, Gradisca d’Isonzo (ITALIJA),18.1.2015)
For new year’s, i’ve decided to visit the Italian flea markets in the vicinity. While I’m not exactly a fan of antiques, I am interested in people who sell them, all that “junk”, but now and again I do come across an interesting old camera which I almost obligatorily purchase.
I am of an opinion, that a man learns a lot from history, and that, what I like to call “half-history”, can be very informative, as well as quite interesting. It is unlikely that my daughter will be taught in school about old vinyls, classic comic books, analogue photography, gramophones, fur coats and other things usually seen for sale in such places.
In any case, every object they sell on a flea market has its story, its beginning and its end. Someone thought of it, a designer drew it, someone made it, and in the end, someone was using it. Some are still useful today, others have lost its functionality and are only kept either as decoration or for sentimental reasons.
The fair of Gradisca d’Isonzo in Italy takes place every 3rd Sunday of a month. Me and Matevž departed from Ajdovščina at 8am and 40 minutes later we parked near the main park, Giardini di Piazza Unità d’Italia, where the event takes place. The fair is truly vast, with around 200-250 exhibitors participating. And there’s a lot to see.
This time I bought a Polaroid Instant 10. I paid 10€ for it (which is probably the result of its model number). It was made in 1978, mint condition, unused, and yet completely useless. Apparently I mistook it for a Polaroid Coloropack. More about that next time.
The photographs were taken with a Leica X2 in JPG format with high contrast, black & white. Photos were not processed in any way. No

To zadnje skoraj Obvezno!
In imaš kaj videti.
Tokrat sem si kupil Polaroid Instant 10. Plačal sem ga 10 eur ( nabrž tudi zato taka oznaka). Letnik 1978, Je čisto nov, nerabljen in obenem neuporaben, saj sem ga zamešal za Polarodi coloropack. Več o njem pa drugič.
Fotografiral sem z Leico X2. JPG, high contrast, črno belo. Fotografije niso nič obdelane in so direkt iz aparata. (SOOC – straight out of the camera).
